Dynamic Duos

A dynamic duo consists of two people who have a complementary relationship with each other.

Types of dynamic duos:

-twins(Tia and Tamera)

-two best friends (Oprah and Gayle)

-creative pairs (Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana)

-competitive pairs (Bill Gates and Steve Jobs)

-cooperative pairs (Aladdin and the Genie)

In western society, there is an emphasis on self reliance and independence, but sometimes when two people come together they complete each other. I remember when Whoopi Goldberg released her book by the title: ‘If Someone Says You Complete Me Run,’ and if I could summarise the response she got from people for that title in a few words they will be ‘Yaas Girl Yaas!’

People say you shouldn’t need someone to complete you, but you should be whole by yourself, but if you believe in the concept of of yin and yang where opposite and interconnected forces complement and balance each other, you would understand why we sometimes need another person to complete us. Think of the time when Oprah Said Gayle is the mother she never had, sister everybody would want and the friend everybody deserves. She also said she has never had to sit in front of a therapist because of the incredible amount of support she has received from Gayle. I think Gayle completes her, and she completes Gayle. I would even argue that Oprah and Gayle being in each other’s lives has tremendously helped them in their careers and personal lives.

Sometimes we even see two talented members of a successful group split up and both individuals or one individual are not able to make the same magic they made while they were together despite both members being very talented.

As humans, we have a natural inclination towards building connections and partnerships, and dynamic duos exemplify the incredible outcomes that can be achieved when two people come together.
